Plant Therapy's Favorite Holiday Recipes Giveaway #6

Holidays are wonderful and full of joyful traditions. My husband, our children and I are originally from Texas. We moved far away from the rest of our family to Idaho two years ago, which has forced us to change some of our family traditions. We used to get together at my mother-in-laws and help her make different foods. While we cooked, the kids would lay around in their pajamas all day watching Christmas movies while having a cup of hot cocoa with a candy cane sitting in the mug.

But now it’s just us.

I really miss being able to help my mother-in-law in the kitchen. To me, she has always been like my second mom, so it’s hard not having her and the rest of the family here with us.

The hardest part? Decorating.

Decorating my own home for Christmas has not always been my thing. In the past, we would spend most of our time at my in-laws, so I would help my mother-in-law decorate her home. This will be my second year decorating more than just the Christmas tree.

Here is a beautiful holiday blend that I will use this year to fill my home with joy:

Pine Cone Delight-Master Blend

10 drops of Cinnamon Bark Cinnamomum verum

10 drops of Vanilla Oleoresin Vanilla planifolia

6 drops of Coffee Coffea arabica

6 drops of Orange Sweet Citrus sinensis

4 drops of Rhododendron Rhododendron anthopogon

Shake well and add 2-3 drops per pine cone. Place them on coffee tables or as a centerpiece on your dining table to bring out the wonderful aroma.

This blend can be used in many different DIY projects.

I hope everyone has a joyful Christmas full of love, lots of blessing, and that you will continue to create memories and amazing traditions with your family.
