Fabulous Foaming Hand Soap

We know YOU love a sale, and WE love GREEN. To top it all off – we love to combine these things into one fabulous product for you to try at home. Join us as we re-create a foaming hand soap with a few of our green oils…

We like Spearmint, Lime, and a touch of Vanilla (although it’s not green) for a Mojito-inspired scent. Very fresh, bright and perfect for spring. Another nice option is Munchy Stop – reduce cravings for your favorite sweet treats while keeping your hands clean and soft. Just in time for swimsuit season!

Finally, using Marjoram Sweet and Lemongrass (mind your maximum dilutions) can be a bright but calming scent for your home.

Fabulous Foaming HandSoap

Here’s what you’ll need:

Foaming Pump Dispenser {16 ounces}
Castile Soap
Optiphen Plus* (a preservative)
Water
Essential oils

Here’s what you’ll do:

Add water about 2/3 full
Measure and add 3 tbsp castile soap
Add 0.5 – 1.5% Optiphen Plus {equivalent to approximately 1/2 tsp for 0.5%}
Add essential oils, about 30 – 40 drops total
Replace cap, shake well

*Optiphen plus is a preservative that reduces the instance of bacterial growth in water-based products. We recommend that a preservative is used in any water-based products that you make at home. This is a great choice since it contains no parabens, no formaldehyde, and are not formaldehyde contributors. It can be found at many online retailers, and a quick google will bring it up.
