Earth Week Day 5: Community Cleanup Day

Welcome to day 5 of our Earth Week #ptchange1thing challenge!

Plant Therapy Earth Week Day 5: Community clean upDid you know that next year will mark the 50th anniversary of Earth Day? Because of this, the Earth Day Network has launched the Great Global Cleanup in cities across the U.S. with plans of an even bigger event next year. And what better way to celebrate Earth Day than to do something with your community. There’s nothing more inspiring than seeing just how many people care, not only about the Earth but also for our little corner of it.

Community Involvement

Earth Week Day 5: Community Cleanup Day

In this blog series, we’ve shared so many ways that we can work to make our world a better place as individuals. But by participating in a community cleanup day, we have the opportunity to make an even bigger difference. Not to mention, the inspiration we feel when we are surrounded by like-minded individuals. Plus, an outing like this is a fantastic chance to teach the younger generation the importance of recycling, reducing waste, and keeping our earth green.

How to Get Involved

Plant Therapy Earth Week Day 5: Community Clean UpBy going to Earth Day’s website, you find all of the major cities that are participating in the Great Global Cleanup on April 20th. By clicking on your city, you can find the locations and details of any cleanup events. You can even find resources on how to end plastic pollution.

If you didn’t find your city on the list, there are still many other options. You can search on Facebook or Eventbrite for Earth Day events near you to find your closest cleanup event. And if all else fails, you can always start one yourself! You can even submit the details to Earth Day’s website so you can invite the public.

Earth Day’s Theme

Earth Week Day 5: Community Cleanup Day

This year’s theme for Earth Day is Protect Our Species. You can find resources, information, and toolkits on Earth Day and the different species that need protection. By taking action and reducing waste, conserving energy and participating in community events, we can help these species stay around for generation and protect our planet.

There’s no reason why you can’t enjoy essential oils on your clean up day. Take a peek at the Re-Energize Inhaler Blend that’ll be great for keeping you energized as you volunteer. Or check out any one of our pre-diluted roll-ons.

Be sure to check back tomorrow to see how our Plant Therapy team is doing with our recycling challenge, and join us by following #ptchange1thing
