What is Leaping Bunny?
In response to the growing number of companies designing their own bunny logos and creating their own standards for what ‘cruelty-free’ and ‘animal friendly’ means, eight national animal protection groups banded together to form the Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics (CCIC). The CCIC spearheaded a comprehensive standard and internationally recognized Leaping Bunny Logo, which shows consumers that the products are accredited and licensed by this distinguished third-party organization.
As the most trusted cruelty-free certification for non-animal tested products, achieving the Leaping Bunny logo proves that businesses are truely committed to producing and selling products that are not tested on animals. Sadly, much of the world continues to allow animal testing, resulting in countless rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, mice, and rats suffering through cruel testing routines.
Staying Certified
Leaping Bunny presents businesses with rigorous criteria they must meet and maintain. At Plant Therapy, we are required to adhere to their strict no animal testing standards and their Supplier Monitoring System. This system requires us to show and submit proof of documents that each and every supplier we use for our products complies with Leaping Bunny’s standards. We also recommit annually through independent audits to ensure we continue to comply with these high standards.
