Eucalyptus Yandee is sustainably sourced from the “Wheat Belt” where it is credited with supporting the rural landscape. Planted in intercropping rows with large wheat fields, this species uses its deep, 65-foot roots to help reduce the impact of increased soil salinity by drawing down the water table. Each tree is harvested using unique equipment and techniques that minimize damage to the lignotuber (mallee root). This allows the trees to coppice and regrow in a repeatable cycle of harvest and reproduction, which sequesters more carbon from the atmosphere than if the trees were left to mature over a 25-35 year cycle.
