Let's Talk About Florals

Summer seems like it’s full of citrus sometimes. It feels like all anyone can talk about is “orange this, lemon that, grapefruit everything” all season long.

But what if you’re more of a floral girl? What if you’re a little wild at heart, and you’d rather smell like a bouquet of roses than a slice of juicy fruit? We’ve got you covered! In honor of May Day, we’re talking everything floral today and checking out the floral section of the Plant Therapy Fragrance Wheel in a little more depth.

Fresh florals are exactly what you think when you think of floral scents: Full of rosy, soft notes that make you think of a field in bloom.

Clary Sage

Clary Sage is very earthy with hints that are fruity, floral, nutty, and herbaceous. Its soothing scent is the key that helps create a balancing feel that can help calm emotions and promote feeling chill after a long day.

Geranium Bourbon

Geranium Bourbon has a gorgeous softer, rose-floral smell with a herbaceous hint. This floral oil helps to balance your mind during times of stress or sadness. Plus, it’s great for your skin! Oh, and if you need yet another reason to snag some…it also helps promote menstrual health during bad PMS times.

Lavandin

Similar to Lavender, but different. Lavandin isn’t a “true” lavender, it’s a cross between Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) which grows at higher altitudes and Spike Lavender (Lavandula latifolia) which grows lower on the hillsides. It has a very sweet and floral scent that’s very similar to “true” Lavender.
