Background

Lime fruit on a tree

Lime essential oil is of the staples of any essential oil collection! The aroma is invigorating, fresh and citrusy. The oil itself is cold pressed from the peel of the lime fruit. Plus these two varieties feature many of the same therapeutic benefits of the original Lime while enjoying more unique aromatic profiles.

Key Lime

Key Limes are a smaller and seedier variety of Lime with their own fresh, juicy scent. In order to preserve the physical, chemical and aromatic characteristics in this fresh essential oil, Key Limes are processed immediately after being picked. This fresh, bright citrus scent is just one reason you need this essential oil in your collection!

Persian Lime

Persian Limes, a slightly sweeter fruit than other limes, still have the same amazing uplifting and invigorating properties. With a bigger and greener fruit, Persian Lime, Citrus x latifolia, essential oil also has a slightly different color and sweeter scent than Key Lime. Even better, Both Key Lime and Persian come in 30 mL!

Benefits

June Oil of the Month: Key Lime & Persian Lime

One of the favorite uses of any Lime essential oil is in cleaning products. Key Lime especially has astringent properties, making it a good choice for helping keep clear and healthy skin. Just make sure to dilute to a maximum of 0.7% in a carrier when applying topically. It also can help support your immune system! This is one energizing, stimulating smell you’ll want to breathe in all day long.

Like Key Lime, Persian Lime is also amazing at helping support a healthy immune system. When added to your cleaning routine, it will keep your house smelling bright and fresh. If you’re looking for a boost of energy or added mental focus, try using Persian Lime in your diffuser or personal inhaler.
