Our New Defender Household Cleaners Give You a Powerful Clean

Plant Therapy has been working long and hard formulating, testing, and perfecting our new Defender Household Cleaners! The Defender Multi-Surface Cleaner and Glass Cleaner Concentrates combine the power of essential oils (yes, that Defender) with natural ingredients to cut through grease, grime, and dirt. Not only do our cleaners use natural, plant-powered ingredients, but they also help cut down on the use of single-use plastics making for a more sustainable product. You can cut out the harsh chemicals, get a wonderfully clean home, and be kind to the planet all at the same time. Let’s meet the newest natural addition to your cleaning routine.

Defender Multi Surface Cleaner

Defender Multi-Surface Cleaner

Meet the Defender Multi-Surface Cleaner! It combines the power of plants and essential oils for an effective cleaner that cuts through grease and grime without any harsh chemicals. The naturally-derived, plant-based ingredients clean tough messes on most sealed surfaces like countertops, stovetops, tile, or the inside of your microwave. To get started, combine 4 Tbsp (8 Tbsp for tougher messes) of concentrate in the coordinating 16 oz glass bottle. Then fill the rest of the bottle with water. All that’s left to do is spray and wipe! And if you’re not sure about your surface, we recommend testing on an inconspicuous spot first.

Curious how these natural cleaners measure up? Spoiler alert: they’re awesome. But don’t just take our word for it! You can check out these independent third-party results.

Defender Glass Cleaner

Defender Glass Cleaner

What’s a surface cleaner without a glass cleaner to go with it?! The Defender Glass Cleaner uses the power of plants and essential oils for an effective cleaner that removes fingerprints and smudges without any harsh chemicals. The naturally-derived, plant-based ingredients effortlessly clean your windows and mirrors leaving a streak-free surface. Get the most out of your cleaner by using a microfiber cloth.

To keep things easy, use an 8:1 concentration for the glass cleaner. Add 4 Tbsp to the glass bottle, fill the rest with water, and get ready for fabulously clean windows and mirrors. Don’t forget to check out the independent third party test results for the glass cleaner as well.

Ways to start recycling today

Our Commitment to Sustainably

Caring for the planet will always be a priority for us. In addition to cutting out harsh chemicals, the Defender Household Cleaner concentrate formula is completely biodegradable. Instead of a single-use bottle that will be thrown out after it’s empty, the glass bottle can be used again and again! Plus the bottle and color-coordinating silicone sleeve are both dishwashers safe.

While the concentrate bottle is plastic, it is equivalent to 64 ounces of cleaner or four full-size plastic bottles! Don’t forget to recycle the concentrate bottle according to your local guidelines.

Shelf Life

Once you mix your concentrate up, it will be good for six months. The shelf life of the concentrates is two years from the manufacturing date. To find the manufacturing date, look at the number printed near the bottom of your concentrate bottle. The last four digits indicate the Julian date. The first number in those digits represents the year. For example, if it’s a 0, the year is 2020. The next three digits indicate the day of the year that the product was manufactured. For example, 001 means it was manufactured on January 1st and 366 means it was manufactured on December 31st.

Meet the Ingredients

We wouldn’t leave without telling you about all the ingredients in our new Defender Household Cleaners! You might have already guessed that it includes our Defender Essential Oil Blend (and you’d be right!). The full ingredient list, along with an explanation of what each ingredient does, and its CAS Number can be found in these printable PDFs:

The CAS, or Chemical Abstracts Service, documents every identifiable substance described in open scientific literature. This helps if the same chemical substance (whether it’s organic, inorganic, mineral, or alloy) goes by more than one name. You can use these numbers to further research the ingredients in our cleaners.
