Hydrosols: maybe you’ve heard of them, maybe you haven’t. Made from the aromatic remains of a plant’s steam distillation process, hydrosols have similar properties as essential oils, except they are less concentrated. Because of this, it’s quick and easy to grab a refreshing bottle to spritz whenever you need its remedial benefits the most. More importantly, there are many reasons why hydrosols should be a must-have in your collection, just read up on all the uses and benefits hydrosols have to offer. Our two newest additions, Calendula and Neroli Hydrosols can help with numerous issues, such as nervous tension, skincare, relieving aching pains and so much more.
Calendula Hydrosols
Calendula has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties that can help soothe many issues that may occur in your daily life. Our Calendula Hydrosol has a delicately sweet and warm smell, but even more incredible, it has a long history of traditionally being used to help soothe blemishes and irritation. If you have skin problems, you can use this as a rejuvenating facial toner to support radiant-looking skin. Simply spray the hydrosol onto a cotton pad and apply it to any areas of concern.
Furthermore, Calendula also would be perfect as a bum soother for infants that have delicate skin, helping calm red, irritated skin. For a light or mild diaper rash, try spritzing your baby’s bottom with our Calendula Hydrosol and allow it to dry before applying cream and a fresh diaper. Our Calendula Hydrosol can also be added to a bath to help with occasional aches and pains from overexertion.
Neroli Hydrosols
Neroli’s aroma is delightful, radiating vibrant floral scents that come from Egyptian orange blossoms. Taking in the sublime, floral yet fruity scents of our Neroli Hydrosol can help ease feelings of nervous tension. It can be mildly sedative when blended with other hydrosols, like Lavender or Chamomile, that can help promote peaceful sleep and restfulness. It’s also great at slowing down and easing difficult emotional situations for children (like tantrums). Spray Neroli Hydrosol on linens or throughout your living space to help promote calming and grounding emotions. It may also help calm an upset stomach or feelings of bloating and cramping.
Like Calendula Hydrosols, Neroli can help support the appearance of radiant skin. Its properties can help reduce scarring from blemishes and acne, all while helping reduce the look of pores and supporting cell growth. When using Neroli Hydrosol as a facial toner, its astringent properties make it an excellent choice for oily or combination skin that suffers from acne or blemishing problems. Again, you can spray the hydrosol onto a cotton pad or ball and apply it to any areas of concern.
