Having guests visit during the holidays means lots of extra people using the facilities in your home. Maintain a pleasant environment for everyone from Great Grandma to Little Johnny – who is just learning to use the restroom on his own. This spray can be used just after using the toilet to keep down unpleasant odors. I hope this helps keep the peace in your shared bathroom this holiday {and every day after…} Create a fun tag or label to inform your house guests how to use this product! What you’ll need:
- Spray bottle, 4 oz
- Assorted Citrus essential oils {I chose Grapefruit Pink, Orange Sweet, and Lemon}
- 1 tbsp Vegetable Glycerine
- Water (add 0.5% Optiphen Plus or store in the refrigerator to protect against bacterial growth)
What you’ll do:
- Add vegetable glycerine to spray bottle
- Add 4-5 mL of essential oils {approximate 20 drops per mL} – I did 1 mL Orange, 1 mL Lemon, and 2 mL Grapefruit Pink
- Stir or swirl to combine
- Add water to fill and shake well prior to each use
*To use, spray into toilet water prior to using the rest room {and again after if necessary}. This creates a barrier on the water, as well as releases a pleasant scent to help eliminate the embarrassment of “sharing” bathroom odors!
